Hot Streak

Hot Streak is a party game about betting, racing and shouting. Players are unlucky bettors who wager on three races featuring the strangest mascots in the world. Before each race, they take betting tickets on the mascots they think will perform best, while also placing unusual side bets, such as which mascot will fall off the track or push another one off. The mascots do not always move forwards, stay on the track or even remain standing, and those that fall or are pushed off are eliminated. One player acts as the dealer, dealing and turning cards that show how the mascots move, while another guides the mascots around the track. Everyone knows which cards are in the race deck, but each player also has secret cards and secretly adds one card to the deck during each race to gain an advantage. When a race ends, players receive money based on their betting tickets, and after three races they add up their winnings. Simple rules, strong player interaction, betting combined with chance, secret card additions and side bets create lively, unpredictable races that encourage spontaneous reactions, comments and loud cheering.
