A family game about the fauna and flora of the Indonesian rainforest.
HUTAN means rainforest in Indonesian, and hutan hujan means tropical rainforest. In this game, you will move to Indonesia, where you will plant flowers and trees and attract animals, all while competing to see who can create the most vibrant and stunning rainforest. In HUTAN, players take turns choosing flowers from the marketplace, which they then plant in their personal rainforest. This flower planting always evolves based on previous decisions, with each game presenting a unique challenge thanks to modular boards.
HUTAN is played over 9 rounds, with each player taking two turns in each round. First, the player with the pangolin token prepares the marketplace and takes one turn. Then, it is the turn of the player clockwise, and this continues until all players have taken two turns. Each turn consists of three phases performed in the following order:
1. PLANTING FLOWERS – Take a flower card from the marketplace and the flowers depicted on the card.
2. GROWING TREES AND COMPLETING AREAS – Place trees and complete areas for the growth of your rainforest.
3. CREATING A PERFECT HABITAT – If you manage to create a perfect habitat, you can attract...
