Simply Red experienced their peak moments in the first half of the 1990s when they released the albums A New Flame (1989), Stars (1991), and Life (1995). The album Stars is the sixth most commercially successful recording in British history, earning the band a Brit Awards win and a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize. The music magazine Q included it in the list of the hundred most important English albums of all time. The vinyl reissue of the debut album by the British pop and soul group Simply Red. The album was released in October 1985 and includes hits like Holding Back the Years and Money's Too Tight (to Mention), which are among the band's most successful songs. Three more singles were released from the album: Come to My Aid, Jericho, and Open Up the Red Box. The album helped Simply Red earn a Grammy nomination in 1987 for Best New Artist. LP1 1.
