Salto Mortale - LP

This is a new vinyl reissue of Salto Mortale, Arakain’s fourth studio album, originally released in 1993. After more than thirty years, the landmark album returns in a new remaster, released on CD and digitally as well as on vinyl for the first time. Produced by Miloš Dodo Doležal, the album marked a significant move towards a more modern, heavier heavy-metal sound and became one of the pillars of the Czech metal scene of the 1990s. The new remaster from SONO Records highlights its energy, dynamics, and sophisticated arrangements without losing the character of the original recording. Salto Mortale includes songs that became firmly established in the history of the band and Czech rock, particularly Zase spíš v noci sama and Marilyn, as well as the title track and Brána iluzí. Aleš Brichta’s powerful vocals, the characteristic guitars of Jiří Urban and Miroslav Mach, and the solid rhythm section of Zdeněk Kub and Marek Žežulka still demonstrate why the album is regarded as one of the peaks of Arakain’s work. The reissue is intended for longtime fans and a new generation of listeners discovering an important chapter in Czech metal, while its vinyl debut makes this edition a collector’s release. The tracklist is Brána iluzí, Ultraparoháč, Rám křivejch zrcadel, Zase spíš v noci sama, Kleptoman, Gambler, Jen jednou, Salto Mortale, Marilyn, and Stárnem.
