This CD presents Michal Horák’s fourth studio album, Jsem asi boomer, following the successful gold-certified album Ideální čas se nezbláznit from 2023. Its varied, authentic and good-humoured collection moves between different genres and production styles, with guests including Vypsaná fiXa, Radůza, Slavíček, Kato, Gentlemen Singers and Sandra Nováková, each adding their own distinctive colour without losing Horák’s unified songwriting style. The album’s self-ironic title describes an attitude rather than a generation: Horák prefers doing things his own way and slightly old-school, calling instead of texting, avoiding unnecessary anglicisms, wearing unfashionable clothes and recording live instruments. His authenticity, humanity and attention to craftsmanship run throughout the album. The record also reflects his versatility in the online space, including the pre-Christmas a cappella hit Ponožky, which has received several million views on social media.
