Michal Horák’s fourth studio album combines variety, authenticity, humanity, humour and a host of notable guests. Jsem asi boomer follows the gold-certified album Ideální čas se nezbláznit (2023) and confirms Horák’s distinctive position as one of the most original singer-songwriters on the Czech music scene, with appeal across generations. The album moves between different genres, production approaches and prominent musical personalities. Guests including Vypsaná fiXa, Radůza, Slavíček, Kato, Gentlemen Singers and Sandra Nováková bring their own character to the songs without overshadowing Horák’s distinctive songwriting. The self-ironic title reflects his willingness to do things his own way and somewhat traditionally: he calls instead of texting, avoids unnecessary anglicisms, wears unfashionable clothes and records live instruments. This authenticity, humanity and attention to craft run throughout the album. His versatility is also evident online, including in the pre-Christmas a cappella hit Ponožky, which has received several million views on social media.
