Description
This Czech album by Nerez, their final release in the classic lineup, is a long-overlooked treasure. Recorded in 1990, it features original songs with distinctive melodies and lyrics, brilliant singing by Zdeněk Vřešťál, Vít Sázavský and Zuzana Navarová, and an energetic, more electric studio sound shaped by the work of producer Petr Kocfelda. Although the album emerged under difficult circumstances, those complications ultimately became one of its strengths. The music combines the support of Vladimír Vytiska’s double bass and Václav Bratrych’s wind instruments with contributions from several guests. This edition includes revised and expanded artwork by the original graphic designer Michal Cihlář and newly remastered sound. The tracklist includes “Ke zdi,” “Na zdraví,” “Johanka z parku,” “Na okraj srázu,” “Ochún,” “Strach,” “Hele,” “Co bylo, nebude,” “Hrr na ně” and “Za pět minut.”
