Description
Ivan Hlas’s debut album is reissued on LP, CD and digitally in the year of his seventieth birthday. This cult album has been carefully remastered from the original master tapes and includes complete lyrics and a redesigned cover by the original creators. The band that joined Hlas in the studio in 1986 featured guitarist Pavel Skála, violinist Pavel Cingl, bassist Pavel Kučera, drummer Jiří Horálek, keyboardist Vlastimil Voral and saxophonist Jiří “Isan” Novotný. Together they combined Hanspaul singer-songwriter traditions with melodies reminiscent of Neil Young. The album reaches beyond folk, rock and blues into reggae, with lyrics drawn from everyday life, including girls, pubs and the moods of ordinary days. Songs such as Bejvaly časy, Neznámá zem, Paní Baloghová and Trable s Kateřinou became hits that still belong in the repertoire of this legendary singer-songwriter. The album also includes the bonus tracks Legendární víla, Zimní, Trable s Kateřinou and Zas jsem tě hledal.
