Description
Ivan Hlas’s cult debut album, recorded with Nahlas, returns on LP with careful remastering from the original tapes, complete lyrics and a redesigned cover by the original creators. The stellar band assembled in the studio with Hlas in 1986 included guitarist Pavel Skála, violinist Pavel Cingl, bassist Pavel Kučera, drummer Jiří Horálek, keyboardist Vlastimil Voral and saxophonist Jiří “Isan” Novotný. Together they combine Hanspaul songwriting and Neil Young-style melodies, extending from folk, rock and blues into reggae, with lyrics about girls, pubs and the moods of everyday life. Songs including Bejvaly časy, Neznámá zem, Paní Baloghová and Trable s Kateřinou became hits that remain part of the repertoire of the legendary singer-songwriter. The tracklist also includes Tanečník, Láska je krám, Kde jsi, Tango, Potichu si zpívej, O nás třech and Možná.
