Description
Michal Prokop and Framus Five present an album of twelve new songs accompanied by a thirteenth bonus track, a distinctive arrangement of Jiří Šlitr’s 1960s melody “Na shledanou” with lyrics by Jiří Suchý. Supported by a three-generation band, Prokop remains faithful to original rock music and strong lyrics about contemporary life. The songs, written by Prokop, Andy Čermák, Pavel Marcel and Zdeněk Wimpy Tichota together with lyricists including Michal Bulíř, Martin Němec, Jan Lacina and Tomáš Roreček, range from blues songwriting with harmonica through dense Southern-style guitar rock to Hammond-organ drama, enriched by violin and brass. The album moves from the opening single “A přece ráno” to the closing, reflective “Vyrovnání”, while “Ostraka” addresses difficult times with seriousness, occasional welcome perspective and consistent energy. The contents include “Bezvětří”, “Minuli jsme se ve snu”, “Hollywood”, “Ještě pár fotek”, “Na cestě”, “Blues o prázdném sedle”, “V nákupáku”, “Sejmi” and “Vážený pane”.
