Description
The second album by Letní kapela, led by singer and artist Jaromír Švejdík, draws on his long experience with Priessnitz, Umakart, Kafka Band and his collaboration with Václav Neckář. The band grew out of informal sessions around the campfire in the Jeseník region and the Rychleby Mountains before developing its own repertoire, which appeared on its well-received debut album in 2022. On Jako pes, the group delivers more developed arrangements, tight musicianship, excellent sound and Švejdík’s distinctive performance style, presenting often unhappy but always genuine themes. Dušan Neuwerth, Švejdík’s longtime musical companion and friend, once again plays a key role as producer. The album includes the songs “Jako pes,” “Přání,” “Náměstí svobody,” “Pod kamenem,” “Problém,” “Noční jízda,” “Venkov,” “Tak jako já,” “Spáč” and “Na páté koleji.”
