S.O.S. - CD

This CD reissue of S.O.S. by Arakain presents the band’s 1995 album with three bonus tracks. The album emerged during a difficult period for the Czech heavy metal scene, when grunge, crossover and the rise of electronic music dominated the musical landscape. Arakain was also going through a challenging time: singer Aleš Brichta had been successfully pursuing a solo career for two years, while the band had not released a regular studio album since 1993. Recorded in the summer and autumn of 1995, the collection contains twelve songs written and produced by Kub, Mach and Urban together with Brichta. The band continued moving away from thrash metal towards classic, raw heavy metal and driving groove metal. The reissue adds Vládci strachu from the Spark in the Dark compilation, the previously hidden song Zapomenutej bojovník, preserved only on cassette, and a demo of Blázni víry sung by guitarist Jiří Urban as a guide for Aleš Brichta. The album’s tracks are To jsme my, S.O.S, Páteční flám, Třináctá komnata, Loutky, Adrian, Schody nikam, Hladit vlasy tvý, Hanibal, Hlas krve, Blázni víry and Tuším zradu.
