Horizont - LP

After seven years since the release of Element and a subsequent concert hiatus, Imodium return with Horizont, their sixth studio album. The band’s new line-up consists of Thom on vocals and guitar, Daniel Franc on guitars and vocals, Ronoon on bass and vocals, and experienced drummer Adam Jánošík, formerly of Ready Kirken, The Atavists and Labe. Founding drummer Kárl also appears on the single Lampy. Imodium marked their comeback with their biggest solo concert to date, held at Forum Karlín in April as part of their twentieth-anniversary celebrations. Produced by frontman Thom Fröde, the album took more than a year to record in the band’s home studio I in Hradec Králové. It contains ten rock songs with a modern sound, melodic lines, strong choruses, convincing vocals, and a distinctive guitar style. The tracks range from intense anger to relaxed moods, while retaining the band’s constant energy. The music is a collective work by the band members; most lyrics are by Thom, with Lukáš Dvořáček co-writing two songs, while Někdo se dívá and 60 minut were written by Adam Jánošík. The album is released on a limited edition of 400 hand-numbered colour-in-colour vinyl copies.
