Zamilovaná - CD

This CD presents a reissue of Lenka Filipová’s celebrated debut album, whose title song, “Zamilovaná,” remains one of her best-known hits. A classically trained guitarist with a strong affinity for French music, Filipová entered the Czech music scene as an unusual new presence in 1981. The album combines delicate singer-songwriter material with collaborations with Christian Cabrel, several cover versions and original compositions by Stano Regal, Zdeněk John, Milan Tesař, Štěpán Rak and Karel Svoboda, while Zdeněk Rytíř and Michael Prostějovský helped establish her distinctive lyrical profile. The CD reissue also includes bonus tracks selected by Filipová herself, reflecting her conservatory training through music by her instrumental colleagues Tesař and Rak, including three songs with poetic lyrics by Vítězslav Nezval. The track selection includes “Zamilovaná (Je l’aime à mourir),” “Jak se točí svět (Nur die Liebe zählt),” “Mona Lisa,” “Přestaň si hrát na trápení (Une star a sa façon),” “Milión příběhů,” “Entertainer (Barbara),” “Beznadějný případ,” “Vyjdi ven,” “Vraní blues (Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue),” “Favorit (Hafanana),” “Časně ráno,” “Quo vadis?,” “Sloky o Praze,” “Píseň o vřesu,” “Až,” “Chtěla bych zůstat, jakou mě znáš,” “Most nad Loirou,” “Parta kočovníků” and “Příběh těchto dní.”
