Description
This children’s audiobook brings together 27 popular stories about the water sprite Rákosníček, narrated by Jiřina Bohdalová. Rákosníček, who lives in the Brčálník pond, is one of the best-loved characters from animated television bedtime stories. The character was created by writer Jaromír Kincl, given his distinctive appearance by artist and animator Zdeněk Smetana, and voiced by Jiřina Bohdalová. The stories follow Rákosníček as he deals with the pond, the weather and the stars: he solves a great underwater robbery, tries to prevent an ice age, battles water snails, struggles with frost, rainbows, wind and fog, races the Big Dipper, outwits the Heavenly Archer, saves the Pole Star and helps lost stars find the Heavenly Shepherd. The collection also includes stories in which Rákosníček muddles all the waters, is embarrassed by a walking fish, tries to clear the sky, summons a storm and rescues cloud sheep from the celestial Eagle and the heavenly Crab. The total running time is 4 hours and 8 minutes.
