Description
This Czech-language audio collection presents fantastic stories by legendary adventurer and traveller Otakar Batlička, performed by Jakub Albrecht, Mirek Černý, Michal Koch, Robert Tamchyna and Ondřej Vetchý. To mark the anniversary of Batlička’s birth, it follows the 2016 collection Příběhy odvahy a dobrodružství with a new selection of stories from the author’s manuscripts, alongside recordings of adventure tales originally published in Mladý hlasatel. Batlička draws not only on his experiences as a globe-trotter and on the stories of people he met during his travels, but also on his imagination and dreams. The heroes include a young girl whose photograph helps uncover a crime, a boy who plays the violin brilliantly for train passengers, young adventurers facing unexpected and extraordinary experiences, and polar explorers stranded on an ice floe. Batlička’s adventurous writing has captivated generations of enthusiastic admirers, many of whom include the performers of these stories.
