This CD is a jubilee reissue of Luboš Pospíšil’s solo debut, a significant 1983 album that remains worthy of being called the record of its season even four decades after its original release. Many of its songs are still part of Pospíšil’s concert repertoire, to the genuine delight of audiences. His work with C&K Vocal was important, while his subsequent move into a solo career was a logical step. As the principal composer, working here with lyricist Ladislav Kantor, he created a distinctive type of rock singer-songwriter. His unmistakable voice complements strong melodies and poetic lyrics that never lose contact with listeners. Ota Petřina also played a major role through his compositional, instrumental and bandleading work. The CD includes the bonus track Lásko, lásko..., an eight-minute piece that clearly points towards Pospíšil’s future solo career.
