Description
This two-CD compilation presents 26 tracks recorded across more than fifty years of Luboš Andršt’s exceptional blues-rock and jazz guitar career. The selection focuses on the blues-rock and more electric side of his work, balancing instrumental pieces with collaborations featuring outstanding singers. It includes his contribution to the then strongly rock-oriented Jazz Q led by Martin Kratochvíl, several stages of Andršt’s fusion group Energitu, guitar highlights from his solo album Capricornus, and work with Michal Prokop and Framus Five, the Blues Band with Peter Lipa, Marta Kubišová, American vocalists based temporarily in the Czech Republic, and Honza Holeček. Together, the recordings showcase the quality and breadth of Andršt’s talents as a guitarist, composer, arranger and bandleader.
