Věci jinak - CD

This CD presents Radek Banga’s debut solo pop album, created as a personal confession and thematically connected with his memoirs (Ne)pošli to dál. As the frontman of Gipsy.cz, Banga has been active on the Czech music scene since the age of thirteen, releasing numerous successful recordings, receiving several awards and performing around the world, including at the renowned Glastonbury festival in Britain. Věci jinak was recorded over seven years without the established Gipsy.cz band and produced entirely by Banga himself, inspired by his musical idol Prince. The process involved searching for the right sound and genre, drawing on his admiration for American soul, rhythm and blues and funk from the 1960s and 1970s, as well as the melodic qualities of pop legends such as the Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson and George Michael. Banga has worked as a producer since 2000, created his own Bangatone studio, written hits for other performers including Karel Gott and developed new approaches to sound through seminars with American producers. The album contains fifteen songs, including Nepošli to dál, which was inspired by the planned book and expresses the importance of recognising family burdens and not passing them on to future generations.
