Description
This concert recording brings together Radůza, her accompanying band and the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under conductor Václav Kučera in a musical drama about Anita Garibaldi. Commissioned by the orchestra and performed at Prague’s Forum Karlín on 3 December 2018, the work follows Anita’s journey from her native Brazil to Italy, where she joins the Italian Risorgimento movement with her husband and strives for Italian unification. Radůza’s original, previously unreleased songs are performed solo, with Josef Štěpánek on guitar and Miloš Dvořáček on drums, and with the orchestra. The project is narrated by Miloš Stránský and was created in cooperation with Czech Radio.
