This Czech-language fantasy audiobook, intended for listeners aged 13 to 150, reveals secrets connected with the personalities of the magical Rudolfine era. Josef, an architect living in twenty-first-century Prague, and Vavřínka, a sixteenth-century herbalist, meet one summer night on Petřín Hill. Their story leads into both contemporary and Rudolfine Prague, bringing together fragments of mysterious Prague legends and familiar figures from Czech history, seen in a less familiar light. Alongside Emperor Rudolf II, magister Kelly and Rabbi Löw, listeners learn interesting details about life in sixteenth-century Prague. Written by architect and author Tereza Janišová, the story is performed by Barbora Hrzánová. The recording also uses fragments of music by Michael Kocáb, Michal Pavlíček, the Rožmberk Band, Jiří Bulis and Zuzana Navarová, among others.
