Description
Vladimír Mišík’s second album with the band ETC…, recorded in 1980, remains a landmark of Czech rock history. The nine songs were recorded by Mišík alongside Jan Hrubý, Petr Pokorný, Jiří Veselý and Jiří Šustera, with guest musician Jan Kolář. The album includes Nejlepší ženská našich dnů, Taxůvku jsme chytli, Variace na renesanční téma and Sladké je žít, with music composed by members of the band and Jiří Jelínek and lyrics by Michal Staša, Václav Hrabě, Josef Kainar, Hynek Žalčík, Vladimír Merta and Langston Hughes/Jiří Valja. This reissue received renewed sound treatment at Sono studio and features artwork by Karel Haloun and Luděk Kubík using original paintings by Miroslav Jiránek. The CD edition in a digipack expands the original material into a 20-page booklet and adds the bonus track Šero v kavárně, with lyrics by Jiří Suchý, recorded during the album sessions.
