Description
Marta Jandová releases her first solo album, Barvy, in the pop-rock style closest to her heart. A majority of the songs are co-written by Jandová, who is also the sole lyricist of the entire repertoire apart from the bonus track Školíš mě by Marek Ztracený. The album was recorded at Propast studio with producer Lukáš Pavlík and Jandová’s backing band, featuring guitarist Ondřej Pátek, bassist Dalibor Mucha and keyboardist Jan Zlatuška; Pavlík also played the drums. The final mix was completed in Germany by Udo Rinklin, who has worked with Die Happy and other successful artists, mainly from German-speaking countries. The record includes prominent songs such as Černá i bílá, Milovat, Křídla and Cesta kolem světa, as well as emotional ballads including Barvy and Zůstaň tu se mnou. The closing rock composition Strach is Jandová’s musical tribute to her favourite singer, Chris Cornell. The album also features the song Školíš mě, whose video had reached 1.5 million YouTube views when the album was released.
