Description
Tugriki is a new Czech-Slovak band formed by four distinctive musicians: Dorota Barová, known from Tara Fuki and her work with Aneta Langerová, Ľuboslav Petruška of Chiki liki tu-a and Korben Dallas, and Igor “Ozo” Guttler and Lukáš Fila of Korben Dallas. Their ten-track debut combines hard-edged rock with moving introspection, Slovak and Czech lyrics, and the raw, everyday and sensitively personal poetry of Lukáš Fila. The music is shaped by a sense of perspective and humour, also evident in the unusual videos for the first two released songs, Sama and V kuchyni, edited from scenes from old films. The album moves between different moods and genres while presenting four prominent personalities from the Czech and Slovak alternative music scene.
