Radůza: Uhlíř, princ a drak - CD

This Czech-language musical fairy tale by singer-songwriter Radůza tells of a royal family, an awkward prince and a resourceful charcoal burner who set out to find the only dragon that can save their kingdom from eternal winter. Mother Nature has punished the king for mishandling and wasting her gifts, and only the mysterious dragon’s breath can awaken spring again. Will Princess Vendulka and her friends find the magical dragon? The story gently conveys a message about improving people’s relationship with nature and the need to protect it. Originally written as a stage play, the fairy tale features Radůza together with actors from the National Theatre, including Anna Fialová, Lucie Polišenská, Radúz Mácha, Igor Orozovič and Jiří Suchý of Tábor. The songs use both traditional and unusual instruments, including piano, accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, castanets, Tibetan bells, kazoo, kalimba and a rainstick. The audiobook booklet contains the lyrics to all the songs, illustrations of the fairy-tale characters by Lucie Dvořáková and photographs of the actors.
