Songy a balady - CD

This CD reissues Marta Kubišová’s debut album from 1969, a collection of eleven remarkable recordings deeply shaped by the circumstances of its time. The beginning of normalization created many obstacles to its production, caused changes to the contents and cover when the sold-out LP was repressed, and was followed by a complete ban on concerts, recording and publishing. The album was not allowed to appear again for twenty years. This edition follows the original version and adds expanded printed materials and new remastering. The LP is also issued on 180-gram heavy vinyl, while the CD booklet and LP cover contain a substantial selection of period documents and responses, an editorial note from 1996, and, for the first time, the complete lyrics. The songs feature music by Ota Petřina, Jindřich Brabec, Bohuslav Ondráček and Angelo Michajlov, along with adapted foreign songs and lyrics by Zdeněk Rytíř, Miloně Čepelka, Petr Rada, Jan Schneider and Eduard Krečmar. The tracklist includes “Hej, Jude,” “Proudy,” “Dobrodružství s Bohem Pánem,” “Tak dej se k nám a projdem svět,” “Modlitba pro Martu,” “Magdalena,” “Ring-O-Ding,” “Máma,” “Ne,” “Balada o kornetovi a dívce” and “Všechny bolesti utiší láska.”
