Singer-songwriter Mirek Paleček fulfils a long-held dream with fifteen songs from the repertoire of Jaroslav Ježek, Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich. After decades of admiring and performing these songs, he approaches this well-known material in his own way, choosing a simpler path focused directly on the songs rather than on large sounds, powerful voices and elaborate arrangements. Accompanied by a group of studio musician friends led by guitarist Pavel Fořt, Paleček offers highly accessible recordings with a small instrumental line-up of guitars, bass guitar and guest accordion or saw.
