Description
Hana is Lucie Bílá’s first studio album in four years, created largely in Bratislava with a younger generation of authors and producers rather than relying on adaptations of established international hits. Producer Martin “MAXO” Šrámek and his Bratislava production and songwriting team, Ľubor Priehradník and Andrej Hruška of Littlebeat, are responsible for the sound of eleven new original songs. The album brings together a range of unexpected collaborators, including Slovak singer Katarína Knechtová, who wrote the title song, Hana, and Celeste Buckingham, whose rap features in the dance track Primadonna. Šrámek also contributes English vocals to two songs with Lucie Bílá, Hráze and Poprvé. The lyrics introduce a new generation of Czech popular-music writers, Petr Harazin and Štěpán Petrů of the band Nebe, who wrote almost all of the album’s lyrics apart from a few exceptions. The album is introduced by the lead single Tak mě tady máš and combines a contemporary, adventurous pop sound with Lucie Bílá’s distinctive and assured singing.
