The alternative metal band from Sacramento is one of the leading representatives of California’s hard rock scene. Formed in 1988, the group is fronted by singer Chino Moreno and guitarist Stephen Carpenter. Deftones debut with the 1995 album Adrenaline, which, like their next two albums, achieves platinum status in the United States. In 2001, the band wins a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. This anniversary reissue of the legendary album White Pony includes the original recording as well as a collection of remixes by artists including Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Robert Smith of The Cure and sampler artist DJ Shadow. The first CD contains Feiticeira, Digital Bath, Elite, Rx Queen, Street Carp, Teenager, Knife Prty, Korea, Passenger, Change (In the House of Flies) and Pink Maggit. The second CD features remixes by Clams Casino, DJ Shadow, Blanck Mass, Salva, Phantogram, Robert Smith, Purity Ring, Trevor Jackson, Mike Shinoda, Tourist and Squarepusher.
