This true story begins with a meeting between two people born under the same sky but raised in different worlds, realities and circumstances. Ester Davidová, a Czech woman, meets and falls in love with a Turkish Kurd while on holiday in Turkey, then faces complicated bureaucratic obstacles in order to marry him and live with him in the Czech Republic. Alongside their love, the book explores the realities of different countries, conditions and decisions beyond their control, as well as the question of whether some stories enter our lives to receive a different ending. Ester, a regression therapist and author of numerous esoteric books, recounts her life openly together with her husband Abdulhalim. The book also includes Abdulhalim’s poems and an essay by Taťána Kročková on the symbolism of the number that follows the couple.
