Description
This second volume of 2,000 Years of Christ’s Power is a book about the history of the Church in the Middle Ages. Academically reliable yet written in a light, sometimes humorous style, it is accessible to anyone interested in Church history. It presents the stories of great missionaries such as Boniface and the brothers Cyril and Methodius, exceptional theologians including Anselm of Canterbury and Gregory Palamas, spiritual leaders such as Symeon the New Theologian and Bernard of Clairvaux, and reformers including John Wycliffe and Jan Hus. Nick R. Needham teaches Church history at Highland Theological College in Dingwall, Scotland, and was a minister of a Reformed Baptist church in Inverness from 2004 to 2021. He previously taught systematic theology at Scottish Baptist College in Glasgow and also in Africa. The contents are in Czech.
