Description
This Czech-language book follows legendary ice-hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hašek, known as the Dominator, on cycling trips through the Balkans and the Himalayas with the authors. The journeys, undertaken between 2005 and 2016, show how even a highly trained athlete can reach the limits of his strength and naturally take on everyday group duties, such as washing cooking pots. Drawn eastward by untouched nature, friendly and trusting people, and an unembellished everyday life concerned mainly with finding water, food and somewhere to sleep, the cyclists discover how ideally a bicycle connects dreams with adventure. Their bodies work hard while their minds relax. The book gathers accounts of the cycling expeditions and shows how pleasantly addictive such trips can become, while suggesting that readers can follow in their tracks with just two or three weeks of holiday. The contents are in Czech.
