Bratrstvo neohrožených: Velitel (2026)

Immortalized as the Band of Brothers, they displayed unprecedented courage in the face of the enemy while liberating Europe. Their commander was Dick Winters, whom his men considered “the best combat commander of the Second World War.” This is his story, told for the first time in his own words. On D-Day, Winters parachuted into France to take command of Easy Company after its original commander was killed. He led the unit through the Battle of the Bulge and on to Germany. Together, they liberated the Kaufering concentration camp and captured Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden. During the campaign, every member of the unit was wounded. After a brief period of service during the Korean War, Winters became a successful businessman. He gained fame through Stephen Ambrose’s book Band of Brothers and the subsequent award-winning HBO miniseries. Band of Brothers: The Commander presents Winters’s memoirs and also includes previously untold stories from his comrades. As the only man to remain with Easy Company from its entry into combat until the end of the war, and as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, he alone could write this moving tribute to the human spirit.
