This book tells the story of long-haired young men who listen to rock music during the era of real socialism, when they do not fit in with the Communists and face difficult times. For readers who, like the author, grew up under the former regime, it offers a return to youth, while younger generations can glimpse the world in which their parents grew up. The characters and events are strongly inspired by the author’s own life experiences. His aim is to faithfully capture the spirit of the era and present lives that often resemble those of the book’s protagonists. The story follows one young rock fan’s longing for freedom and rock music at a time when both are considered enemies of the state. The author dedicates the book to those who can no longer read it because they are no longer alive, and thanks his daughter for persuading him to write it and contributing to its final form.
