He has worked as a maintenance man, stoker, water pump operator, second-hand bookshop assistant, and warehouse worker, while pursuing his own artistic work throughout his life, particularly as a musician and lyricist. He has performed with Konopného, Ženy, Bad Beef Hat, vojáci, Činna, Kolena, and Kolna, and co-authored the book Ženy with M. Choura.
