Which little girl would not want to dance at the National Theatre in Prague, put on a costume and bow before an applauding audience? Karolína dreams of performing in the ballet The Nutcracker, especially because she wants to become a real ballerina one day. When she succeeds in an audition for the role of the Mouse, she is delighted, even though her parents seem much more interested in their newborn baby brother at the moment. Perhaps they will not even come to the theatre to see her. But a ballerina must endure anything for her dream. The surprise waiting for Karolína at the final performance is all the sweeter.
