Based on the successful Czech Television documentary series, this book offers an unusual look at the lives of leading Czech doctors. Drawing on the extensive material created during filming, it presents twenty interviews in which the doctors can describe their thoughts, feelings and life philosophy in greater depth. Renata Kalenská, Blanka Kubíková, Jolana Matějková, Jaroslav Veis and creative producer Alena Müllerová explore not only the interviewees’ professional practice but also their private lives. The authentic conversations offer an insight into what it means to be a master of medicine, both professionally and personally. Some interviews were conducted alongside the filming of the third series and appear here exclusively before their television broadcast.
