Description
Written in Czech, this book was created in 2004, when the author stayed in India beneath the sacred Arunachala and, through the grace of Arunachala and Sri Ramana Maharshi, set down this short work. It is intended for anyone who occasionally wonders about the meaning of existence. It does not offer a detailed guide to the path to happiness, but attempts to reveal to readers the age-old wisdom contained in religious writings. The book invites reflection on oneself, the world, spirit and soul, and the search for and understanding of the meaning of life for all beings. It is intended for all seekers who can view their method of spiritual practice from another perspective and check whether they have overlooked an important condition for rapid spiritual growth. Every being must travel the path to freedom and happiness alone; there is no way to liberate someone else or to be liberated by another. As the inscription beside the Indian Parliament says: “Freedom does not descend to people. People themselves must grow towards freedom, for freedom is a blessing that must first be attained before it can be enjoyed.”
