Description
The third dark crime case featuring the brilliant Professor Hans Rekke and unconventional police officer Micaela Vargas. In the late 1980s, Dag and Pompe set off on a road trip from Sweden southward. In Santander, Spain, they meet Sandra, a local waitress who is fascinated by the two intellectually inclined young men. A few days later, Sandra is found brutally beaten to death, with unusual cuts on her shoulder. The killer is never identified. Twenty years later, Rafael Corales, head of the team that investigated Sandra’s case, visits Rekke. He is convinced that similar murders have taken place in Denmark and Finland. The victims bear similar marks on their bodies, suggesting that someone is numbering them.
