Description
This publication presents a selection of Jaroslav J. Alt’s paintings and graphic works from 1980 to 2023. The artworks are interwoven with contemporary texts by philosophers Ladislav Benyovszky, Jaroslav Novotný, Aleš Novák and Zdeněk Kratochvíl, theologian David Bartoň, historian Jiří Pešek, art historian Blanka Altová, art theorist Lucie Rohanová, and art critic, historian and curator Richard Drury. Jaroslav J. Alt also contributes two theoretical texts. Together, the works and texts present landscape as a subject that can be explored both through philosophical reflection and through visual artworks inspired, among other things, by such reflection.
