The book contains more than 480 colour photographs of mushrooms and over 165 illustrations of biochemical structures. Each medicinal mushroom species is described through its macroscopic appearance and the main features distinguishing it from similar species with which it could be confused, along with the bioactive substances identified in it, their medicinal effects and the possible practical uses of the mushroom.
