Description
When Alice Appleton’s boyfriend suddenly leaves her just after her mother’s death, she escapes to the Dorset coast and takes a job at the crumbling Castle Cafe. Far removed from her busy London life, she finds welcoming faces, cream teas and a quirky seaside village where she hopes to heal her broken heart. Jay O’Donnell has lived in picturesque Castle Cove since childhood. Haunted by a tragedy in his past, he works as a lifeboat volunteer, determined to save as many people as possible. When Alice catches his eye, Jay tries to resist the distraction, but begins to realise that perhaps it is his turn to be rescued. As Alice and Jay grow closer and discover someone they can truly talk to, they must learn to let go of the past and make room for second chances.
