A pulsing banjo-punk whirlwind, Poletíme? combine banjo, punk, melancholy, humour and romance. After the third song, you may find yourself loving them for life. Their new album Chce to hit! presents complex and sad subjects in a light-hearted way, with colourful moods, lively rhythms and witty, poetic, direct lyrics. The band can make you laugh, cheer, dance or shiver when a song gives a name to a problem you recognise. Their unusual instrumentation handles punk as confidently as jazz, captivating audiences in intimate clubs and on the main stages of major festivals. Band leader, singer, lyricist and central figure Rudolf Brančovský is the almost exclusive author of the repertoire. The album was recorded at David Koller’s studio in Mikulov with sound engineer and producer Jiří Topol Novotný. Its 16 songs share convincing performances and the distinctive, original Poletíme? sound.
