This classical CD presents a selection of works by Fryderyk Chopin, the outstanding poet of the piano. His singing piano style has influenced generations of musicians, while the emotional intensity, brilliant sound, rich colors and varied moods of his music continue to appeal to listeners of all ages. The recording includes the Fantasy-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, Ballade in G minor, Impromptu in A-flat major, Scherzo in B-flat minor, the Grande valse brillante and “Minute” Waltz, a Nocturne, Polonaise, the first movement of Sonata No. 2, selected Preludes, Barcarolle and two Études in C minor, performed by Valentina Kameníková, František Rauch, Pavel Štěpán, Jan Simon, František Malý and Sequeira Costa.
