Corvinian Hark plans to become the next great villain. Instead, he ends up managing a house full of magical tenants. This minor career detour is supposed to be temporary, but it has already lasted eight years. Things are not getting better; in fact, everything is becoming increasingly strange. His newest tenant may actually be an ordinary human. That means no more magic in the corridors and a strict curfew for all the skeletons in the closets. More importantly, if he fails to see through the girl, he will be fired. That would be a real disaster, since the house contains his bed, his belongings and, in fact, all his friends. He simply puts her in a room between a vampire and a harpy and hopes she notices nothing. What could possibly go wrong?
