The second part of the Učíme se hrou workbook series with the elf Kvítek follows the first part and complements the Czech Language 2 textbook from the Reading with Comprehension edition. This modern Czech-language learning material follows the Czech Framework Educational Programme and focuses on developing reading literacy. It is mainly used to practise and consolidate the material from chapters 7 and 8 of the textbook, using entertaining activity-based learning methods. It includes extracts from literature, fill-in exercises, riddles, puzzles, games, competitions, jokes, stretching exercises and suggestions for group work. The workbook contains a cut-out supplement with cards for hands-on activities, together with instructions for using them; exercises suitable for this activity are marked with a hand symbol. Cards from the first part are also used, especially for revising and practising material from the first half of the school year. The elf Kvítek guides pupils through the workbook and rewards them with a corresponding sticker after each revision section. Stickers are included, and the final pages contain revision exercises and a key to selected activities.
