Descripción
This Czech-language poetry collection continues Václav Hons’s exploration of the sensitivity and paradoxes of our age, following his earlier trilogy of collections. It offers a dynamic testimony about our darkness and the inadequacy of dawn, while giving voice to victims who remain unmentioned. The poems search for words that resist bearing witness, words that ripened on Judas’s branch and long for a point somewhere in a deeply uncertain heaven, a heaven shining beneath the soil of the final day. Judas is present too, swinging high in the sky and scattering an inexhaustible sum of thirty pieces of silver.
