Atlas biologie člověka - kniha – Trojan Stanislav (2007)

This fully illustrated human biology textbook was awarded the title of Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year 2003 in the textbook category. It presents information on the structure and functions of the human body at a level slightly exceeding the secondary-school curriculum. It is suitable for students and teachers at secondary medical and pedagogical schools and grammar schools, as well as for preparation for entrance examinations to medical, science and pedagogical universities. It can also serve undergraduate students at science and education faculties and students at higher medical schools as a comprehensive review of human biology. The subject is divided into 84 topics, each presented separately on an A4-format sheet. Most of the information is conveyed through illustrations, graphs, diagrams and charts accompanied by concise explanatory text. The book covers the essential information on all the body systems, including the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, excretory, reproductive and nervous systems. Where appropriate, Czech labels are supplemented with Latin equivalents. Review charts with unlabeled illustrations help readers test their knowledge, and the book also includes a selection of sample questions for medical-school entrance examinations. It is issued as loose sheets in a folder with a flap and is complemented by two educational wall charts: The Human Skeletal System and The Human Muscular System.
