This Czech-language book presents the shortened version of a manuscript that Věra Kratochvílová compiled from her memories and from the letters and secret notes her husband sent from prison. Josef Jan Kratochvíl was a well-known personality of the First Czechoslovak Republic and the author of famous radio exercise programs. He was executed by the Nazis for his resistance activities. The book covers the period of their life together from his arrest in May 1940 to his execution in August 1943.
