He persuades another member of the unit to join him, and together they set out for places they were never meant to revisit. Their wartime act has not been forgotten, however, and people in Bosnia still seek revenge. The return of the former Czech soldiers sets off a chain of events in which the past collides with the present and every step may be their last. This Czech-language thriller takes readers among the soldiers of the Czech contingent in the UNPROFOR mission during the civil war in the former Yugoslavia and, above all, into contemporary Bosnia, a still unsettled part of the Balkans.
